According to the Sickness Insurance Act, the maximum price to be charged to the insured for a taxi trip compensated by sickness insurance is stipulated by a Government Decree.

The maximum price is based on the funds available for compensation and the costs incurred by transportation, including a reasonable profit. The Council of State shall increase the maximum prices by 2.7 percent, and this increase shall be applied proportionally to all prices mentioned in the decree.
